If you’re struggling with skin imperfections, pimple, rashes, blemishes and wrinkles, then the cause has probably a lot to do with your diet. Eating the wrong foods will damage your skin and make you look much older than your years.

To improve the look, feel and texture of your skin you need to be very conscious of the types of foods you are eating because as we all know there are good foods and some very bad foods in terms of our skincare.

Green Leafy Veggies for a Healthy Glow

The good news is that foods that will improve your general health will also improve your healthy appearance. A healthy glow is always a very attractive quality. Eating plenty of green leafy vegetables is always essential for overall good health. The essential ingredients in green leafy vegetables are the vitamins and iron that are essential for healthy skin, nails and hair.

But veggies alone won’t cut it! You need a balanced diet with a combination of both complex and simple carbohydrates, proteins, fruits, grains and some good fats will not only bring health to your body but will enhance your outer beauty.

Prevent Premature Aging with Carrots and Apples

Carrots:

Consuming vegetables like the green leafy ones we mentioned above is very important. So too are vegetables like the humble carrot very important for our skin. The experts say that the carotene in carrots can help prevent premature aging.

Carrots are known for their ability to improve eyesight, but they are also great for regulating the sugars in your body and detoxifying your liver which will help to prevent skin blemishes. Carrots are also a good source for the vitamins your body needs for healthy skin and hair.

Carrots contain a large amount of vitamin A plus other nutrients that are wonderful nourishing agents for the skin and do help to prevent dry skin. The list of benefits from consuming the humble carrot is very impressive.

Apples:

We have all heard the expression, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”! Well to keep that skin with a youthful appearance, you cannot go past the benefits of apples, especially the Red Delicious and Granny Smith varieties.

Not only will consuming apples help with the elasticity of your skin but they can help to protect damage to your skin caused by exposure to UV rays. Apples contain procyanidin B-2 which is known to promote hair growth and help in the prevention of skin cell damage.

Next time we will discover the foods that Prevent Wrinkles….
